Requirements
PPM Task Management (roles and
resources)
This App runs on systems with at least SAP Portfolio and Project Management 6.1 (PPM 6.1) or SAP
Portfolio and Project Management 1.0 for S/4 HANA (EPPM 1.0).
Application
PPM Task Processing (roles and
resources)
Compared to SAP standards, the "PPM Task Processing (roles and resources)" app provides a
structured and tabular overview of role and resource assignments, minimising the amount of input
required to assign roles and resources to the respective tasks. The roles and their assignments are
displayed on the first page. All created assignments are displayed below the role line.
Application
Creating Role
In this tab, it is possible to assign additional roles from the previously created project as well as the
associated resources. To do this, open the action menu in the "Action" column and assign the role.
By selecting "Create Role", the basic data window for the role opens. The basic data, such as name
and role type, can be entered here.
Newly created roles are displayed shortly afterwards according to the sort number and given the
status "New". If no entry was made, the project period is adopted as the role validity. The Org. unit
column allows you to select the Org. unit.
If no role has yet been created in the project, the action menu allows you to create roles.
Application
Edit Role
The "Edit Role" action opens the basic data window and allows you to change the basic role data.
The basic data can be customised here as required.
Clicking on the "Back to List" button overwrites the previous settings.
Application
Delete Role
By selecting the "Delete Role" action, the relevant role will be deleted.
The role is directly deleted from the overview.
Application
Assign/delete role
To assign a resource to a role, click on the "Action" column in the action menu and select "Assign
Staffing".
It opens a window in which the role staffing period is displayed and a resource can be assigned by
using the personnel number or name. Please note that clearly assigned resources are transferred
directly. Otherwise, messages will refer to the Input Assistant.
The Input help provides a detailed search input and displays further criteria in a new window.
In the "Select: Assign resource" window, all elements matching the search criteria are displayed.
By selecting an element, the personnel number is transferred to the Assign resource field.
Confirming with "Enter" accepts the resource and allows you to enter a staffing period. In addition,
the effort assigned to the resource is displayed in the "Assigned effort" column.
Click on the "Back to List" button to transfer the data to the overview page
The cast can be deleted directly by using the action menu.
Application
Task-Role assignment
The "Task-Role Assignment" page assigns the previously created roles to the tasks. Clicking on the
"Back" button opens the "Roles & Assignments" window. Please note that any changes that have
been made must first be confirmed with Enter. Otherwise the entries will not be saved and may
have to be re-entered.
By selecting the relevant role, it is assigned to the task and given the status "New".
Task lines to which a Role has already been assigned show the cast members assigned to the role
via the Action field. It is also possible to delete the assignment.
Selecting a Resource adds the name to the "Resource name" column. The option to delete
assignments remains available.
Application
Maintenance Task-Role assignments
The "Maintain Task-Role assignments" page allows you to enter the work duration and a deadline
restriction for the task. Clicking on the "Back" button opens the " Task-Role Assignment" tab.
Please note that changes that have been made must first be confirmed with Enter. Otherwise the
entries will not be saved and may have to be re-entered.
The "Done" view allows you to restart the application by clicking on the "Create/Change additional
role(s)" button. The application has been saved and can alternatively be closed.
Application
Set Filter
The option of Setting Filters supports quick assignment, even for complex and deeply structured
projects. The filters are assigned to the individual columns and also have a masking function.
Please note that set filters are transferred to the following pages.
To mask search entries, enter *Value* in the corresponding filter field. Only data containing the
entered criteria in the relevant column will be listed. The "View" drop-down menu can be used to
switch between a detailed view, in which assigned occupations are also displayed, as well as role
view. The filter fields adapt to the Respective page criteria.
