Anastasiia Smirnova is a PPM consultant, non-native speaker and career changer. Here she reveals what makes Milliarum the "perfect match" for her.
Dear Anastasiia, why billions?
Anastasiia Smirnova: Even when I joined the company as a non-native speaker, I was immediately welcomed into a supportive environment. That made it incredibly easy for me to get started. I have a Master's degree in philology and, after completing my studies, I decided to make a career change into IT with a great desire to get to know something completely different. At Milliarum, I had the opportunity to get certified as an SAP consultant while working. The support from the team really helped me to get up to speed quickly. I particularly love the freedom and flexibility in my day-to-day work. It gives me the space to develop to my full potential.
What are special milestones on your path at Milliarum so far?
Anastasiia Smirnova: I immediately think of our wonderful Christmas dinners and the great team events. That strengthens the team spirit enormously. These moments are always very special and make the work even more enjoyable. A real highlight that I'm really looking forward to is the DSAG Annual Congress with Milliarum in Leipzig: three days full of exciting encounters and exchanges with interesting people. It's going to be great.
And why should young people apply to Milliarum?
Anastasiia Smirnova: Young people are given great support right from the start here, regardless of whether they already have experience or are just starting their career. I had the opportunity to receive support with my certification when I started. I am now a certified PPM consultant. What is particularly exciting is that the industry environment is constantly evolving. This allows you to keep up with the times and grow with the latest developments.
