Three questions: How Milliarum brings TOC and CCPM together in SAP

Brief information on the TOC Innovation Summit with specific reference to the company Milliarum and the topic of CCPM and TOC

From September 29 to October 2, 2024, the TOC community will meet at the TOC Innovation Summit in Bad Nauheim and we will be there live. We are particularly pleased that Haver & Boecker is providing insights into the introduction of our solutions in the mechanical engineering company. In a brief interview, Milliarum Managing Director Steffen Wester-Ebbinghaus explains how Milliarum brings TOC and CCPM together in SAP.

What is behind TOC and what does it promise? TOC Innovation Summit the participants?

Steffen Wester-Ebbinghaus: At the TOC Innovation Summit, everything revolves around the application of bottleneck theory methods. TOC stands for "Theory of Constraints". Scientists and professionals from various industries will share their expertise in Bad Nauheim. For once, the focus will not be exclusively on IT systems, but rather on the key factors for a more efficient use of resources in order to reduce project lead times and increase productivity.

Where does Milliarum come in?

Steffen Wester-Ebbinghaus: At Milliarum, we have been working with CCPM, or Critical Chain Project Management, for more than ten years, applying the TOC methodology to project management processes. We have embedded CCPM in our SAP project management software in order to avoid local optimization of individual company divisions and interfaces to third-party systems and to meet the special requirements of complex project structures with several products or machines in one project, scheduling, cycle production, capacity management or procurement and controlling. At the TOC Innovation Summit, our SAP CCPM solution will be presented by one of our reference customers, Haver & Boeckerand we will also provide the technical background to our solution in a separate presentation. As a special highlight, we will exclusively present the application of the Milliarum AI SAP Chatbot in the context of Lean Project Management processes in SAP On-Premise.

What significance does the TOC Innovation Summit have for Milliarum and what are the highlights of the program for you?

Steffen Wester-Ebbinghaus: At the TOC Innovation Summit, we want to inspire an international audience and, of course, SAP users in particular for our solutions and, of course, gain further inspiration for our project work and our solutions. In addition to the presentations, this includes meetings with our customers, interested parties and partner companies.

Thank you very much! We look forward to an intensive, global exchange on these exciting topics!
