Introducing: Max Schwarzbach is our first scholarship holder

At Milliarum, we have always focused on the professional development of young talent. As a partner of the Germany Scholarship at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences we are now taking the promotion of young talent to the next level. Max Schwarzbach is our first scholarship holder and will spend a year as a student gaining practical insights into our SAP innovation forge.

 

Mr. Schwarzbach, we are delighted to welcome you to Milliarum. What are the most important milestones that led you to us?

Max Schwarzbach: After graduating from high school in 2018, I started a dual course of study in business informatics at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences with an apprenticeship as an IT specialist for application development. I completed my Bachelor's degree at the end of 2022 and seamlessly entered the Master's program. I got to know Milliarum through the scholarship program and am now looking forward to gaining practical insights into software development and SAP consulting as a scholarship holder at the company.

What are your professional goals?

Max Schwarzbach: My top priority at the moment is my Master's degree, which I'm aiming for in 2024. I also want to get to know many areas of business informatics in practice. I want to see how what I've learned during my studies works in professional practice. That's why I'm getting a taste of very different areas at Milliarum so that I can find out where I would like to work in the future. I've already gained insights into research at university, but now I'm interested in how innovation works in practice.

What opportunities do you hope to gain from the Deutschlandstipendium?

Max Schwarzbach: For me, the main focus is on the ideational support, for example through further development opportunities, internships and insights into the day-to-day business of Milliarum. I would also like to write an application-related master's thesis as part of my work at Milliarum, which will create value for the company. I also hope to have many opportunities to make contacts and gain experience that will help me in my future career. On the other hand, there is the financial help, which allows me to concentrate more intensively on my studies. The option of a possible collaboration after my studies is also very appealing to me.

What opportunities does working at Milliarum offer you?

Max Schwarzbach: At Milliarum, I have the opportunity to gain insights close to the daily work processes. That's why I see the opportunity to learn a lot here. I already have a lot of knowledge from university and practical experience that I can contribute and build on. As we have already met, I know that I can expect many exciting and varied opportunities and possibilities, which will bring the necessary flexibility with regard to my studies. This is very important to me, because a Master's thesis means a high workload in a short time frame. We are currently working on possible topics and the direction of my Master's thesis. I am particularly interested in how new technologies can help with current challenges. Artificial intelligence is a big topic. It is important to me that my work also offers value for billions. Because I know from my Bachelor's thesis, which is also practice-oriented, how much time goes into it on both sides. It should also be worth it.
